Modulo 7 Semana 2 How was it?

How was it?

¿Qué hacer?

1. Selecciona 2 hechos históricos que haya ocurrido en México. Considera que sea un acontecimiento conocido por diferentes personas y que sea relevante para todos. Por ejemplo: Día de la Independencia, Revolución Mexicana, etc.

2. En un archivo de Word, pon el título: How was it? Después, escribe el nombre del primer hecho y enseguida, formula en inglés, 5 preguntas que te permitan conocerlo a detalle (quiénes participaron, en dónde ocurrió, cuáles fueron sus causas, etc.). Realiza lo mismo con el segundo hecho, recuerda que las preguntas deben ser diferentes a las 5 del anterior.

The Tlatelolco massacre is an event what happened in the year 1968 in the City, Mexico what remained marked in the life of many households. Since many young students disappeared in the hands of the military men and policemen.

2.   When and where the event happened?

there have been manifestations on the part of the students because of a the Vietnams’ war, the 2 October of 1968 in Tlatelolco square arose the biggest manifestations on the part of the students, only one was needed a flare gun to begin with the massacre.

3.   How many students met in square Tlatelolco?

Approximately 50,000 students met this day in Tlatelolco square.

4.   How many dead men and injured men were "officially"?

Officially it is said that 400 students were murdered and 1000 injured men. Many of the corpses were incinerated in a clandestine way. your families never knew that your children had end.

5.   Who ordered the massacre?

Nobody accepts the responsibility of this fact. The president Gustavo Diaz Ordaz only he accepts that he asked to the army watch the event, but the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces of Mexico arranged the fire.

1.   What is the earthquake of 85?

The earthquake of 85 was a telluric event that happened in Mexico City on September 19, 1985.

2.   What locations were affected?

The sites which were affected were the center zone, south and occident of Mexico. The Federal District was the more affected.

3.   Where was it the epicenter?

The epicenter happened at Pacific Ocean to 7:19 a.m. time of the center of Mexico with a scale of 8.1 according to Richter.

4.   How was it?

The earthquake was trepidatorio and oscillatory and register a depth of 15 kilometers. Producing a new fault in Michoacán’s gap.

5.   How did it affect in my life?

The earthquake affected in a way direct in my life because my mother, little brother and granny were in Mexico´s City when happened the earthquake. They were sleeping in Mayaland’s hotel.
